REO delisted ~ GMAC

Ok,

Heres is something I didn’t see coming. I was about to write a contract for a GMAC REO. I sent my contractor over there tonight to check the place out and he tells me the lock box isn’t on the door.

I was curious since I spoke with the realtor just 2 days ago and told him I was about to submit an offer. So I called him. He tells me that they pulled the listing from him and it is no longer his listing.

I live in NW Florida. Is there any recourse for me? Do I have to wait until it gets relisted? Can I appraoch GMAC directly? How?

I will hit this one hard tomorrow to try and trace down a phone number, but I wanted to ask here and see if anyone else could give me a quick answer.

Thanks all…

You can call the REO department and get information. Lenders can be easy about this or they can be PITA about it. Either way, they should be willing to at least give you property details and be able to negotiate a deal with you before it goes to a different realtor. However, if you haven’t seen the house and you want to, you’re probably out of luck. The lender doesn’t consider it their job to show the property.
