I know realtytrac.com is a few days sometimes to weeks old. Many others are up to a year old. I would pay somebody send me copies from the courthouse. Atleast they are about a day old.
Thanks for your reply and information.
what is a NOD list?

A friend of mine who buys bulk land for timber harvesting told me a while back he stops in occasionally to talk to a couple girls who work at the courthouse and will ask for info on out of town people who are behind on taxes - they do it for him and he’ll normally give them $20 for helping him out. He gets some phenomenal deals like that. He is in a small rural town, though, and I doubt that the people in my Metro courthouse will have the time or interest to help me out (could be wrong though). Is this in any way related to what you are talking about here, and if not, do you know any details on how this would work for me in finding distressed owners?
Thanks a lot.
I must state that I am not old enough in this business. However what I did is I found girls collecting data at the courthouse for some company. (High school students) and asked them if they could pick a small list from my area of interest at a fee. It worked great and it is working. My problem is working the deals out. Not a whole lot have come forth. I got very meaningful help though through this forum and I may be closing a deal tomorrow.
Good luck
