I have recently set-up an LLC in South Carolina. Purpose is to fund rehab and flips. I am looking to do a couple of these rehab and flips in Ohio and therefore need to register my LLC in Ohio as a foreign company. I sent off the documentation, but have recently heard back from state of Ohio that a company exists there with a name very close to my LLC and they will not approve without the other company’s permission.
I have written to the other company requesting permission, but if they don’t agree or don’t respond at all, does anyone have any other advice. I don’t want to set-up a new and seperate LLC as the one I’ve got is funded, has bank account set-up, etc.
