I was searching our local recorder of deeds website for a particular property and would like to know what this means: Grantor - xxxxx (town name), Grantee - Public
I understand the Grantor/Grantee part but why would it state the town name and ‘public’?
There are 50 states with 50 different sets of RE Statutes…simple solution is ask the County Recorder what that means.
