Just looking for any great books out there to get started in Real Estate Investments.
I need something that teaches the very basics of the buisness as well as providing the most profitable strategies.

Under the Site Navigation links, there is one called “Recommended Reading”. It’s a start…
Thanks TRandle,
I just wanted to get some feedback from other members that have read these books.
There are member reviews under the “Add/View” link next to the book title for some of the books. For the others, there are links to Amazon reviews. I understand you were looking for posted recommendations, but I wasn’t sure if you’d seen the link yet. Many folks just pop on the forums, asking questions without browsing around, :dance2:
Hey,
I started my interest in this subject with Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Kyosaki. Good general idea and motivation. At the back of that book was a list of suggested reading and I took off from there.
Lately, I have read on Power Negotiation by Roger Dawson, and Zig Ziglars books on sales.
Use the library, ebay, and amazon.
If you want specifics, try ebay for some of the basic Real Estate Investor courses. Like Carlton Sheets. They are good education.

Great stuff, thanx d_sbrown and TRandle
For beginners and basic info I have been reading Jay P DeCima. I have been listening to Rich Dad Poor Dad on CD and it is very good also. Graciez
Investing in Real Estate, Fourth Edition (Paperback)
by Andrew James McLean, Gary W. Eldred
I started with this book and found it very useful. There are other books out there. I normally check the reviews on Amazon before I buy or borrow from the library.
