How do I search public records for real estate investors, and hard money lenders? (ie; individuals who purchase multiple properties, that are then recorded at Clerk of Court)
Go to the courthouse (Chancery Dept.) and usually they have a mortgagee book. Maybe this is on computer now so ask for guidance there. On that list will list a bunch on Banks and Lenders such as Wells Fargo, Chase, Axiom lender, etc…you are looking for a person’s name instead of a Bank. If you see for example John Smith that’s is a person who financed the property. If you see something like WeBuyHomes Trust or LLC those are private investors.
After doing it a few times you will get the hang of it and spot the investors.
