I want to use a realtor to buy a house and I seem to recall that they have MLS access the loan payoff for the listed house. Is that right? Can they tell me how much the seller owes on the house based on MLS info they get?
No we can’t. We may find the price they paid for the house when they bought it, but MLS does not have payoff amount. You get the payoff amount from the lender since the amount owed goes down with every payment.
