Hey everyone I want to learn how to invest in real estate but with all the products on the market it is hard to know which ones are good and which ones are total scams?
What sets them apart in your experience?
What is important to look for in a rei eduacation product?
I would spend a few weeks reading these forums before you decide which course to buy. You may not even want to buy a course after that. You can get so much good information here.
The first thing you should do is decide what kind of real estate investing you want to do. Buy and Hold, Rehab, wholesaling…
That will help point you in the right direction and enable you to make an educated selection. Also there are a few people in this forum who have written good courses. Hunt them down and ask questions.
The biggest problem I see with new investors is trying to be all things to all homeowners. You can’t. You should focus on one strategy first, get good at it and develop some experience and confidence. Then expand your know how and learn a new strategy. In other words, one step at a time.
I suggest you have a look at options and lease options as a good choice for getting started. Relatively easy to understand with minimal capital requirements.
You could read a variety of inexpensive ebooks on several topics to get a low-risk feel for what types of investing is out there, before choosing one or two and committing to a more thorough course or seminar.
I got my start with courses and seminars and although a lot of good info is online I don’t like putting stuff together piecemeal and see value in having a comprehensive set of forms, systems, etc on any business I’m starting.
