Does someone know, where on the www.hud.gov.com website is the bid statistics, people what bought houses from hud, because i dont see it there?
It’s www.hud.gov.
Many of the states have different vendors/websites. I chose Maryland (they all work relatively the same):
The, in the top margin, click on “Topic Areas”, then click on “HUD Homes”. Then, select a state. Then, on the right side of the page, under “Bid Statistics” either click on “Search by City” or enter a Case Number + “Go”.
This will bring up a list of cities or the actual case. Select a city or cities and then click “Search”
If it doesn’t work, tell us what state and we can help you thru it.

Keith

Is there a website for Idaho? Thanks. :bobble
I tried to retrieve the results for Atlanta…however was unable. Can anyone help with this?
Yes there is.
Keith
The Atlanta search worked for me with no problem.

I’m amazed at the number of people that will not read the instructions and attempt to follow but would rather that someone hold the back of their head and put their nose directly on the answer.
Real estate is not exactly difficult but it DOES take some effort.

Thank You, kdhastedt.
Ok, now that I’ve found the website for HUD listings that sold in Idaho, I can choose several western states if I wanted which is nice.
If the broker on the property is listed under what looks like a realtor, and it’s listed under an “Investor” purchase with a Significant price reduction, would I try using the tax assessor with the address to find the property owner and information to get the buyer info? :deal
Nope…the Government is the owner - when it shows up on the HUD listings, the government has already take int back to the owner. If you already have a Realtor find out if they are a HUD Realtor. If not find out if someone in their office is and work thru them. You’ll probably need a Realtor in each state (unless you know a Realtor licensed in several states). The Realtor should be able to give you some insight as to what it takes to win a HUD bid in your market.
Keith
Ok, what I failed to mention is that I was looking under all the transactions that sold / were accepted over the last month or 2. :banghead

If they’re already sold, the information regarding the buyer is generally a matter of public record, except in a few states…go to wherever the deeds are registered and pull the record.
