RE/Broker License and Short sale

Will getting a RE/Broker license help or hurt me when doing short sales?

I know one thing that may hurt and please correct me if I am wrong. When putting up bandit signs I may have to put my license #. I don’t want to put my license # on the bandit signs just incase of city ordinances. The city folks may just tear the signs down. However, if they see a license #, then they make take it to another level.

So is getting a RE/Broker license a positive or a negative?
