I am going to look at a home tomorrow that is a first come cash deal $2000( yes believe it or not) It is all brick home. He is going to quit claim it. I am a newbie and got lucky on this one. What do I need to ask and look out for? It scares me that it is so cheap.

Try to get a warranty deed. Hard to get title insurance with a quit claim deed. Also get a title search done, Once he has your $2K he will be gone and you could be left with all kinds on liens and judgments against the house and even an angry wife as your partner.
