I’m trying to find out if appraisers have access to the MLS if any one has an idea please help and if not is it only realtors who do? you can tell its a “newbe” question
Most MLS systems are owned/run by the local Realtor board so you normally have to be a member of the board to have access. There are appraisers that are also Realtors, so they would have access. Appraisers have their own sources of information in order to pull comps for their appraisals (like Pace, etc.). Their information will have information on all sales, even FSBOs.
