putting a modular on an existing foundation

OK - trying to think outside the box on the burned out shell.

I thought about putting a manufactured home on the existing foundation as long as it is structurally sound (the foundation).

I don’t know much about modular homes but I do know you have to hire a GC (since I am not handy!) to assemble and hookup utilities once it has been trucked in.

I do know the historic district will allow a prefab as long as they have reviewed it and approved plans b-4 the historic commission.

I guess my question is - I know there are hundreds of prefab options out there but in terms of getting a prefab to fit my existing foundation. . … do I custom design that with a prefab company- can anyone advise on prefabs?? thank you!

prefabs are all over the place and yes, they do custom designs.

I hope i answered that question correctly.

Have you looked at the prefab websites and magazines?
