Prprty Mgt Co's in other states

How do you identify a good prop mgt co.?

What questions do you ask them?

What kind of contract is a good contract (one that you can get out of if needed - i would imagine)?

My gut tells me, let them do the talking and gauge how aggressive they are in dealing with deadbeat tenants or how long they’ve been in business and check with local BBB?

Please advise.

In Ohio, anyone can say they are property managers.

When doing business with anyone, try this:

Get references, 3 or more from both current customers and past customers. And get Tenant refferences.

Better Business Bureau - not always reliable, have known companies to be pretty bad but has good BBB standing

Ask other investors who they use.

Length of time in business

also ask them gross unit revenue breakdown
