Property Management Companies

Hello,

Does anybody know of a good Property Management company in the Northwest, (Perferably in the Seattle area?)
Also how much do they charge and what services do they provide.

Any help would be appreciated.

go to www.irem.org
you will want to search for a “CPM” or a “ARM” there is a link on the home page. these people are the most knoweledgeable and professional…

let me ask you a question…
“would you go to a gynecologist for open heart surgery?”

so why would you go to a local mom & pop shop for property management. they both essentially do the same thing. However, one of them is trained specifically in their artform!

you make the decision … but “charge the paddles to 400 and clear” if you make the wrong choice mmmmmm_______________________

i’ve checked this website and found it to be very UN-helpful. I have several very experience property managers working me; none of them were in the list.

Prop. mgmt is a very localized thing; you need someone who know the local area of your property, what typical clients look like in that area, rental rates.

You are right, I just can’t find too many investors that invest in Seattle on here. I will go to a local investor club in my area and ask.

Thanks for your continued insight.

folks,
these people are not your local investors. they are professionals in their field. Like a CPA or attorney. They are the most knoweledgeable in their area. they take classes for over 3-4 years on property management and these people are local. they have access to very specialized info is very useful in determining if you have a good deal or not. they will help you analyze every aspect of your transaction and rental.

The reason none of your property managers are on the list is because none of them are certified by IREM as a"CPM" or other designation. They do not have the education or resources that the IREM individuals have.

My question is: “if you use turbotax to file your business taxes, are you getting the best representation for your money? or would you seek out a specialist like a CPA who knows your situation and can strategize with you about your taxes and new laws that may affect them?”

you may have experienced property managers but ask yourself if you are getting the best representation?

call a few of them and ask them what they do.

i did a quick search for the state of washington and found 420 matches of certified property managers and qualified actuaries.
