What is the difference between property listing and classified ads? Which technique will be more beneficial for my real estate website?
The MLS is for member agents/brokers only to advertise in.
Classified advertising is simply print advertising that is free. or paid, and found offline or online.
However, you can still “list” your house on the MLS, for a few hundred dollars, and then agree to pay any agent who brings you a buyer, a certain percentage of the price. It’s just not gonna be free, and will cost you a lot more when you actually sell.
Which is most beneficial depends on whether you’re willing to pay a real estate agent, or not. You might sell faster using an agent and MLS, but you’ll pay out the nose, too.
