Preforeclosure contact timing--newbie question

Hello again,

More questions about preforeclosures. This one’s about timing. I know that popular wisdom states that the best time to contact someone is when they first receive notice that the property is going into foreclosure. I imagine that follow up, follow up, follow up is the key to capturing the ones that are in denial. Any thoughts on this?

What tips do any of you seasoned preforeclosure people have for a newbie?

Also, what about trying to capture the sector of the market whose houses are nearing the end of the process also? Worthwhile or not?

Again, any tips/strategies you have would be appreciated.

Thanks,
sixdirections

Hi Six,
I am a newbie like you regarding the majority of real estate transactions. In response to your last question -Also, what about trying to capture the sector of the market whose houses are nearing the end of the process also? Worthwhile or not?

  • What I do know from reading is that 4 weeks from auction, the seller tends to get more motivated than at the beginning of the forclosure process. I am afraid that is all I can offer you at the moment regarding your very last question, I have yet to do my first deal. I am getting money together to start doing deals beginning of next year. That is a goal I set for myself. Hope this helps.
