I am wondering where you go to find people on the list for a preforclosure. I have heard you can write these people and gage an interest if they want to sell the house for what is left on the mortgage…but I don’t know how to get a list. There has to be a way.
Thanks.
The county courthouse is where you can find anything and everything about a property.
I went to the DuPage, Illinois website and have access to the name of the bank/lender doing the foreclosing, the property owners, the address and how much time is left on the clock before the sheriff’s sale.
The sheriff’s sale today took about 4 minutes and they unloaded 4 properties. There will be another sale in two days and two more next week and two more the week after that and so on and so on.
It’s up to me to research the properties at the county offices, but it’s all right there in front of me.

JUST TO GET YOUR Feet wet go to http://www.realtytrac.com and put in a zip code. You will see the information on the house, you get the owner’s name how much is owed, etc. You have an option now to have them send a postcard for you.
You can have 7 day access for FREE… Be sure you get the phone number and/or email so you can cancel the service otherwise they will charge you $40.00 as quick as a snake can shake But you’ll get to see what it is you will
be looking for as far as pre foreclosures go.
You might then want to go down to your friendly courthouse and you will know what to ask for what it is you need and you’re on your way from there
Good Luck to you!!!
Thanks for the information. I will call the county crthouse and have viewed the site. Usefull information.
