Just for fun…
What will happen with Americas Health care? Will they pass Obamas Health Care this month?
What effects (if you think it will pass) will it have on the average American?
My prediction? I believe it will pass narrowly (although I havent been paying attention to much since ive been in school, just recently since im on Spring Break) on Sunday from what im seeing on the news.
I also believe that eventually, like many of the other entitlement programs we have today, it will go unfunded and we will eventually have to cut it out here in a few decaded. Until then, you will see a increase in taxes to attempt to fund this horrid bill.
I personally could care less if it passes. Im very against all this and everything, but maybe THIS WILL TEACH Americans that voting isnt a freakin’ game. Voting for radicals has consequenses. Maybe this will push Americans over the edge and they will actually vote for a reasonable person.
I agree with everything you said. I’ll add that I hope it passes at this point. A constitutional president would allow the states to nullify this under the 10th amendment. I can see the election now, Ron Paul at the debate, smashing the democrat nominee, by explaining constitutional law to a public that is finally ready to listen. For that Mr. Obama, I thank you!
I also think it will pass and although I despise the bill, I think that might be best for America. I don’t want to live under socialism and I think Obama getting his way is the fastest track for the coming collapse and revolution! The USA is already broke. Piling on more taxes and more entitlements will only speed that process. Maybe the Socialist in Chief can even get through his cap and tax plan. I think we’re looking at a collapse and revolution in 2012!

Or maybe not. There are sure a lot of Americans who can’t see the relationship between their own actions and the consequences.
You really think the tenant who told me that she “always pays all her bills, but she just has bad credit, that’s all” is ever going to understand that the financial issues of the country have anything to do with how she voted?
Tatertot makes a good point. There is a large majority of this country that just does not care. They don’t watch the news because it is “depressing”, they don’t care who is running for Mayor or City Council of their city, and they don’t care about taxes as long as they get that “refund” every year.
What I hope comes out of this tumultuous political time is that it motivates younger people to take action with their lives and learn about the political system in this country. Perhaps run for office someday. We don’t have a modern day Thomas Jefferson, or FDR; heck I would even settle for a Ronald Reagan type at this point. It is all about power and money right now. While I don’t agree at all that we are going to have a revolution by 2012 I am worried that it is going to take a LONG time to fix all the damage that we have done to this country over the last 10 years.
prediction?
with ±30 million now getting the “benefit” of health care provided to them…looks like Obama just bought himself a 2nd term.

Im not sure about that… like 58% of the country were strongly opposed to this bill, many of which voted for Obama is the 1st election. He will lose many of the votes he got the 1st election, but certainly will gain many votes from these 30 million. It could be close, but I dont think theres any way he will get re-elected.
8 years of Obama… Ill be like 27 by the time he gets out of office. Theres no WAY I could handle that.
Also, this makes my situation very interesting. The job I already had lined up (good pay, 19.50, which is good for a LPN, and VERY CLOSE to my house, which would save me on gas) already offered to hire me, but they DONT offer health insurance if you want that good pay. Going to see what happens with that job offer, since they dont offer Health Insurance…
Obama got elected because independents were upset with Bush (and Bush was a disgrace). Obama was also elected because he was black and many white Americans still have some misplaced guilt over the past (even though they didn’t have ANYTHING to do with that). Now that we’re headed for a financial collapse, independents will not support Obama and people will want a President that can actually improve the country instead of one whose only qualification is a dark skin color.
That is the platform of the Teapartiers.
The era on the path to repealing this mess starts as soon as Obama signs it.
Worsened economy and raised taxes, less professionals practicing in the medical field, invasion of privacy, more attempts of gov’t control down the line… I really hate watching the news at this point.
But on the flip side he actually accomplished something…it took force, bribery, and lies.
