I am the Marketing Director of a real estate investment and devlopment firm with a new community we are promoting in TN. Right now we are in pre-development sales as the roads and electric are going in. In marketing this community to realtors in FL came across one group who does these pre-construction seminars. They invite builders and developers to show case their stuff to investors. Apparently in Dec they had over 2000 investors according to the realtor I have been talking to. What I want to know is, has anyone heard of these and do they work? The cost just for a booth at the Expo is $500- $500 more if you want to get up on stage and give a presentation about your project. Plus, you still pay commissions to the realtors bringing you and the ones bringing investors to the expo. I know if I sell out in one night it is worth it, but I want to talk to people, other than the people trying to get me to go to this, and find out if it really works. Any feedback would be appreciated.
I was one of those wide eyed noob investors that attended the Exit team realty’s preconstruction seminar there. I also atteneded back in October and it was almost standing room only. I was almost tempted to buy some vacant land!!!(not swamp land) But my LLC was not up and running yet so I told myslef, next time they have it, I will buy. My contact there is Steve Dalia.
