PPC Adwords

In large markets is it too expensive to run a ppc campaign and is the quality of the leads very poor? Too many tire kickers etc.

I think you have already said it-the quality of links are poor.

Not always…

You just need to be extremely targeted with your keywords and write ads that DISQUALIFY tire kickers and other quality leads.

For example a “cash buyers only” real estate ad isnt going to get clicks from tire kickers who cant get a mortgage.

There’s also long tail keywords to run as phrase match that can yield so,e pretty awesome results

  1. Make a lot of ads and test the results/quality of each ad.
  2. Make adjustments to your ads
  3. Review the results
  4. Cancel the bad result ads and increase the budget for the good result ads.

Adwords can be some of the most effective, targeted and measurable advertising out there.

But…

You have to know what you are doing. We advertise on 50,000+ keywords all across North America for our lead gen business and it’s a huge effort to stay on top of and optimize campaigns. Heavy use of negative keywords and longtail keywords are critical.

I highly recommend spending a few hours reading all the Adwords best practices to ensure you aren’t wasting $ - and test, test, test everything!
