I have heard that you cannot get a court date (sherrif’s sale) postponed UNLESS you have a solid sales contract. I have been working with a HO for a while, and just today she found out that there is a sale date Oct 24. We are going to list it tomorrow and try a round robin auction to find a buyer, meanwhile I can’t think of a way to postpone before we have a contract. Any ideas??

depends on the state. call the sheriffs office and ask them how you can get a postponement on the sale date.
my county requires a letter explaining why they are requested the postponement and a check of $28.
