Paying people to handle direct mailings

I a interested in hiring someone to do direct mail campaigns for me. My thought is I provide the letter, envelopes, postage and lists. I was thinking of paying per letter. Any thought on this method or the fee to pay? Is it better to pay by the hour?

I paid someone $0.20 per letter. I provided everything. They hand wrote the address, stuffed and sealed the envelopes, used a rubber stamp for return address, and put on a stamp.

Stick to your first plan of paying per letter. That way you pay for actual work done.

That’s right. I think it’s wiser and fair to pay per letter done. You might not get as much done if you pay on an hourly basis.

How did this go and what option did you use? just wondering how it went.
