I am rehabbing a house built in the 50’s. The bathroom all though in great condition is tiled from floor to ceiling with tiles colored Pepto-Bismol pink! I have heard I can just repaint over this type of problem. True or false? If so, how do I go about it? Do I paint it like I would a regular wall or is something else required? If I cant just paint over it what do I do?
There are people out there with special paint products to go over tile with paint. But it has been my belief that this product is temp fix it can flake.
The paint these tile painters use is a urethane. It’s works great on walls but don’t bother on the floors. Buy new floor tile and have them match their paint to your new tile.
