P&I question from newbie

Hi all,

I have a question about the P&I. Here in Holland there are several ways to create a mortgage; interest only / annuity payments / linear principal payments. Furthermore there are 20 / 25 / 30 year constructions available.
Now my question: what numbers should be taken with regards to the different calculations to be made (cash flow etc). A 30 interest only mortage is completely different than a 25 year linear (with regard to the monthly P&I payments)

Any advice / remarks are more than welcome!
Regards, Raymundo

Hi and welcome—been to Amsterdam so many times, I forget…

Most of the discussions in this forum are limited to guidelines/terms as it relates to the North American market—I don’t know how much help we are going to be here…

Hi,

Hope you enjoyed staying in Amsterdam :-). Thanks for your reply and I will keep reading the posts anyway because I feel I can learn a lot from them!!!

To say I enjoyed my time there is understatement—Queen’s Day was my favorite time to pay a visit…
