I’d be interested to know if there are any overseas investors here. I for one bought a few years ago in Russia. I’m still here actually. This was my first home buying experience and its has been a lot of fun. We are experiencing a boom here right now in real estate with yoy gains approaching 30-50%. There is a housing shortage. The costs of entry and exit are amazing. I paid $500 to my real estate attorney to buy my apartment and another $10 as a registration fee. Now to sell I’m paying 1% which was a huge number for my attorney. She gasped when I told her what I would pay her. Lots of fun. But it makes me sad about all the costs I’ll be paying in the U.S.
Anyway, I’d be interested to hear any experiences people have out there.
