Mark,
We can’t allow copyright material to be “cut and pasted” into the forum unless you have a release from the author and you note that it is reprinted with permission…I have removed the text and replaced it with a linnk (which is acceptable)…
Keith
thanks. my bad.
tell me how to do that?
I just ‘Gooooooooooooogled’ the phrase “Sweat equity in IRA real estate can be no-no” and found the story, clicked on the link until it’s completely highlighted, then right clicked on the link…then, selected copy in the drop-down. Then came back to your post, right clicked and selected "paste’ from the drop-down – it’s easy!
By the way, you need Site Moderator rights to modify the posts of others…
Keith
well, duh. I could’ve figgered that whun out.
I thought it was a magical http format code or something.
tnx.
Nope…I’m not nearly that high-tech/geeky…
Keith
good post, but I can only hope if your using a self dirrected IRA your doing your investment in a legitament mannor. I for one used my IRA to start and fund an LLC, the LLC is what invest in real estate, the IRA is 49% shareholder in the LLC. Creative stuff
Keith,
I don’t consider myself either high tech or geeky, but here is the fancier way to embed the title of the article within the link. With this coding format, the article title becomes the hyperlink. Underlining and color are optional and added for emphasis
Thanx Dave…you’re right, that’s better…somewhere I have the instructions to do that written down! Unfortunately, I just moved and it’s somewhere in a pile (like 'most everything else I own)!
Keith
so, Dave, give up the secret!
The format is easy,
(left bracket) url=http://hyperlink (right bracket) Article Title (left bracket) /url (right bracket)
Just replace (left bracket) and (right bracket) with actual square brackets
http://hyperlink is the web address you want to link to.
See if you can “quote” my response and see the Bulletin Board codes I used.
