Osama Decides to Finish Off the Gulf Coast!

As if the Socialist in Chief hasn’t done enough damage to the Gulf Coast in particular and the USA in general, Osama’s EPA has now invalidated the operating permits of 122 plants across Texas.

"The EPA's irresponsible and heavy-handed action not only undermines Texas' successful clean air programs, but threatens thousands of Texas jobs, families, businesses and communities throughout our state," Perry said in a statement. "It will also likely curtail energy supplies and increase gasoline prices nationwide."

Oh well, maybe they’ll enjoy being unemployed. After all, unemployment benefits will soon last FOREVER!

It’s such a mess down here. And the media is totally hacking up the reality of the effects. My friend works in Grand isle and they are killing south Louisiana. They are’nt issueing new permits for the shallow water rigs which is so bad for this area. These are the majority in the Gulf, thousands, and hundreds of thousands of jobs.

The federal govt has really, really screwed this up soooooo bad it makes “ol Brownie” look great.I really am disgusted seeing this happen right in my face and it’s effecting everything here, everything.

To see and hear the big eared moron back in campaign mode "We don’t wanna go backwards,we wanna go forward"makes me sick.If this is “forward”,I’ll take any of those terrible Bush years over this anyday.
Would’nt it be classified as going backwards being just as much in debt compared to GDP as WWII??Now that’s backwards, but then again timelines are’nt the point, the point idiot is making is “back” to capitalism/private business created jobs. No,no don’t look at that "backwards"way, look forward to us and our new dependency programs.

Dumb morons,if everyone is in the dependency wagon, who pulls the wagon(AKA pays taxes, your salary).WHo really votes for these people with no concept of reality???

Here’s one:

Mike…OBAMA is SAVING MILLIONS OF LIVES DOWN THERE!!!

According to one of your recent RANTS…MILLIONS of LIVES could be lost when the EXPLOSION occurs down there from the GAS being released!!!

My question is this…

Are you ADDING those MILLIONS to the OTHER list of MILLIONS that the “SOCIALISTS” are gonna KILL…Or is this been already figured in???

I want to keep an ACCURATE record of all YOUR predictions. :beer

Gotta go…

I’m actually in the REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT BUSINESS and have a few houses and a commercial building to look at today. I purchased a VINTAGE Porsche 911 yesterday along with the house and garage it was in. I got a GREAT DEAL because I convinced the owner that the ECONOMY WAS CRASHING IN 2012 and we’d all be eating CANNED FOOD and have NO NEED for Vintage Porsches!!!

:shocked :shocked :shocked

Thanks FDJake, that was the link to the story I saw. I’m also glad to hear that you’re still in business, as am I.

Unfortunately, you’ve gotten your facts wrong. I am not predicting that the gulf floor will explode due to the oil working it’s way up through the undersea strata at extreme pressure. I simply posted an article that discussed it was a possibility.

As for the socialists/communists, you may recall that I posted an article with an FBI agent talking about Bill Ayers and his socialist revolutionary friends discussing how 25 Million people would need to be killed after the socialist/communist takeover of the country.

Having said all that, THIS thread is about The Chosen One PURPOSEFULLY DESTROYING JOBS in Texas - just at a time when the Gulf Coast is under extreme pressure.

Now I’m REALLY confused… :banghead :banghead :banghead

So which one is it???

Is the OCEAN FLOOR exploding next month??? Oh that’s right …You just POSTED the article…UNDERSEA STRATA…WOW that sounds IMPRESSIVE!! Too bad it won’t happen…E V E R!!

And are we still on for the predicted KILLINGS of MILLIONS of AMERICANS for the “SOCIALIST AGENDA” starting next month???

I guess it really doesn’t matter with the world ending in 2012!!! :beer

Keep up the FORECASTING…I always enjoy a good LAUGH!!!

Now I'm REALLY confused......

I see that.

Is the OCEAN FLOOR exploding next month???

Let me try again for the reading impaired:

I am not predicting that the gulf floor will explode due to the oil working it’s way up through the undersea strata at extreme pressure. I simply posted an article that discussed it was a possibility.

Maybe your union steward could read my posts to you. I have NEVER said that millions of Americans would be killed for the socialist agenda starting next month. I have pointed out that socialists/communists/marxists killed well over 150 MILLION PEOPLE during the last century (FACT) and that The Terrorist in Chief’s good friend Bill Ayers was part of a group that was reported to have planned to kill 25 Million Americans after their socialist/communist takeover of our country (which is nearly complete).

I guess it really doesn't matter with the world ending in 2012!!!

That’s at least the second time you’ve said that. Are you one of those believers in the Mayan Calendar and the end of the world? If so, take a deep breath, I think the world will still be here in 2012, although we may not recognize the USA by then.

I can’t help but notice that once again you haven’t addressed the issue at hand, which is Osama intentionally doing damage to Texas and the Gulf Coast with his RIDICULOUS agenda by invalidating the operating permits for 122 plants across Texas. Do you have any opinions on the subject at hand?

OK…So it’s just the USA that ends in 2012…

That’s the NEW FORECAST???

I can’t keep up with them…and the best part???

They CHANGE all the time!!!

Now it’s “I NEVER SAID the OCEAN was gonna BLOW UP” I just posted the article!!!

That’s PRICELESS!!! :flush

Is it just me or do Propertymangler’s posts look and sound like the ones that positive outlook used to ramble and post about?

If I remember right, Propertymangler knew positive outlook.

Guess it is just one of those things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmmmm…

It’s not just you… :beer :beer :beer

OK.....So it's just the USA that ends in 2012....

That’s the NEW FORECAST???

It’s kind of surprising that a person who claims to be successful apparently can’t read a simple sentence. Here’s what I said, “…we may not recognize the USA by then.” You see, if you read carefully, you’ll see that doesn’t sound anything like “it’s just the USA that ends in 2012…”.

Once again, you’re changing the subject because you don’t have an intelligent response to the subject at hand. Care to address the issue?

If I remember right, Propertymangler knew positive outlook.

No, I didn’t know PO, other than from his postings on the forum. However, I think it was an absolute disgrace that he was banned when FDJake is allowed to stay. No-one on this forum violates the rules more than FDJake!

One again FDJake, if you don’t like my posts or those of anyone else and if you don’t have anything pertinent to say, then simply ignore my posts. Better yet, start your own posts and you can express your love and admiration for the Socialist in Chief!

“RULE BREAKER!!!”

That may be the NICEST THING you have every said about me Michael!!

Thanks :beer :beer :beer

A vintage Porsche 911??

You have my attention. Love the Porsches.Hope the motor is’nt locked up,they can cost a fortune to fix.

'73 911 T…and YES the motor not only turns…BUT RUNS!!!

The owner was a HOARDER, the car was parked 2 years ago and covered in blankets…VERY GOOD CONDITION…The owners daughter sold the house with everything in it and just did not want to deal with it.

I’ve had Porsche’s for 20+ years…all 911’s, all air cooled.

Want an investment tip for the FUTURE???

GO OUT NOW and start buying every 911SC from 1978 to 1983 that you can get you hands on…

These cars are DIRT CHEAP right now (between $5000-$10,000)
if you find one that doesn’t run for $2000 BUY IT…Because these cars are some of the BEST BUILT, MOST RELIABLE Porsches ever to leave Germany…At some time in the future these cars will demand BIG DOLLARS…They handle like go carts, you can work on them yourself, they are LITERALLY HAND MADE, and they’ll RUN FOREVER. It is not uncommon for these engines to run well into and through the 500,000 mile mark.

The MARKET hasn’t caught up to these cars YET…But just look what 356’s are selling for these days…COUPES go for $50K…The 911SC is 3 times the car and it’s 10 times cheaper…

But those prices won’t last forever!!

That $2000 NON RUNNING (BUT NO RUST BUCKETS) 911SC that you park in your (self storage warehouse!!!) will be worth 5 or 6 times what you paid for it down the road…I’ve seen this happen with Austin Healeys, Jaguars, Vintage BMW’s…Cars that have NO RUST but need engine work are EXACTLY what restorers want…A motor rebuild on a 911 is $10,000 to do EVERYTHING…Body work to fix rust can EASILY cost twice that.

And…If your buying RUNNING cars???..You sure as HELL are gonna have more fun with your INVESTMENT than parking that money in a 401K!!!

Fd,

YOu’re right. The 911 is a timeless design.I just about bought one a while back.I had a 67 convert. bug with a stroker couple of years ago was as close as I got this far.Still love that car,and it was so simple to work on.I’ pecking away at my merc now,but I definitly see a 911 air cooled in the future.Congrats on the one you have.Beautiful car.

personally speaking…I could care less about vehicles…but that’s just me.

that said…I do think this latest post from fdjake rates right up there as one of his best.

once again…he shows a high degree of both short and long term investments.

bama…hope you’re holding up well down there.

great work fdjake…gotta love them hoarders.

Thanks for the tip, fdjake. I’ve always loved porsches. When I was a teenager, I always said I’d own one, but it never happened due not wanting to spend 40 to 50 k on a car and being much wiser and older now, and investing my $$ in better assets than a sports car. LOL

I never realized how cheap and reliable these particular cars are, seems like there are quite a few of them listed on ebay. Just did a quick search and found 15 of them. I don’t think I’d pay more than 5 to 7k for them in running condition.

I’m defenitly gonna get my hands on these at these prices, I really love the styling on these particular models.

Are they really THAT easy to work on? Any tips on what to look out for in terms of pitfalls besides what you already mentioned? Any cencerns about the turbo models? Also, any “fdjake” spins on how to locate them from private owners accross the country? :beer

Thanks!

The absolute best deals I ever got on 911’s came from people that had cars they HAD TO SELL, or cars that needed work.

The GREAT thing about these cars is that MOST buyers don’t want to take on a car that needs ANY work…They want pristine GARAGE QUEENS with low low miles…There’s TWO problems with those cars from my point of view…FIRST…They’ll only KEEP those LOW MILES if YOU don’t drive them much…We’re talking about cars that drive like GO CARTS…You’re gonna WANT to drive a 911 all the time…So that LOW MILEAGE car WON’T be low mileage for long.

Second…Pristine, low mileage cars carry BIG price tags…and here’s the bottom line…As the SUPPLY of low mileage original cars dries up…the PRICES for higher mileage, imperfect cars increase.

Case in point…Original Porsche Speedsters…10 years ago you could buy them ALL DAY LONG for $50,000…And I’m talking about SHOW CARS here…PERFECT down to every nut and bolt…10 years later those cars (even in THIS economy) command $150,000…NOW even the RUST BUCKETS are worth $50,000!!!

The 911 is a BETTER CAR all around…They are plentiful NOW…That won’t stay that way forever…Look at vintage Mustangs…Ford sold 1 MILLION of them the FIRST YEAR of production so we are NOT talking about a rare car here…TODAY those cars (with the higher performing v-8 engines) rountinely command $25,000 to $50,000+ depending on options…They HANDLE LIKE SHT, STOP LIKE SHT and TURN LIKE SH*T!!! I know, I’ve owned 10 of them!! Yet people BUY THEM!!

The 911 on the other hand HANDLES, ACCELERATES, BRAKES, and DRIVES as well or BETTER than cars 25 years NEWER!!

How long will it take for people to REALIZE THIS??? We’ll see…but I’m buying everyone I can get for short money RIGHT NOW!!

Things to look for…

Anything with RUST stay away from…Porsches made from 1977 and later have GALVANIZED BODIES…WALK away from a rusty 911 unless you can buy it for UNDER $2000 and just PARK it inside and WAIT…
The REAL BUYS are the good condition higher mileage cars that have good paint.

HAVE any Porsche you consider buying INSPECTED BY A PORSCHE MECHANIC!!! A L W A Y S…Unless you know these cars like the back of your hand…The 6 cylinder air cooled engine is built like a PANZER but REBUILDING one can set you back $10,000…Make sure you buy one SOMEONE ELSE spent $10,000 on!!!

Look for accident damage…Smoke coming from exhaust, oil leaks…Also check PELICAN PARTS web site for everything Porsche related.

But most of all???

ENJOY THE HUNT…Drive a LOT of cars before you buy one and you’ll LEARN what a GREAT PORSCHE drives like and what a TURD drives like.
Be patient and LOW BALL everyone with CASH OFFERS.

I had a '69 911T Targa a number of years ago that I bought in pieces from a “wanna be restorer” that got bored with his project. I rebuilt the engine and welded in some sheet metal to replace some rotted frame pieces and painted it “arrest me red”. It was an absolute blast to drive with the 6 Weber carbs (one for each cylinder), Targa top off, and great handling. I sold it along with my '68 Jaguar XKE coupe to help with the down payment on my first personal home.

One thing for sure…fdjake is absolutely right about avoiding rusty 911’s. Once they start going rusty it’s a MAJOR repair to fix it right, well beyond the abilities of all but the most determined hobbyist.

Maybe I’ll start looking for a 911 project.
