does anyone know the phone number to reo dept of Option One. Trying to get a hold of reo agent before he lists property.

Doesn’t really matter. The AM won’t talk to you about a property, that’s what they have their listing agents for. If you do get in touch with them they will tell you to get in touch with the agent.

No AM is going to negotiate at any level on a property that has recently been added to their portfolio. There is a process in which the property must go through after the foreclosure auction. Any belief that getting in touch with the AM as soon as possible after the auction is very much misguided. First step is to list it with an agent. Until they do that there is simply no point in talking to them. They will take your name and number then maybe, if you are lucky and they don’t lose it among the vast papers they have, give it to the listing agent.

I suggest giving it three weeks after the auction date. If the listing agent hasn’t put their contact info on the door/window/yard/ect by that time then you would be justified in contact the DMC and/or the AM to obtain the listing agents contact info. As tempted as you may be to attempt other objectives…such as tell them how much you really really want the property, giving a pointless story as to what you have done trying to obtain it up to this point, making any verbal offers, and so on… you will only aggravate them and take a chance of them remembering your name, when your offer comes in the right way, in a negative light.

The only thing an AM wants to hear from you is, " Could I please get the contact info for your listing agent for property address 1234 first street so I can submit a CASH offer? Thank you!"

Thank you!" really? thanks for your 2 cents Mr. Foreclosure Negotiator Again, All I wanted to know is if someone had the REO department for Option One. I have in the past called GMAC customer service department, and they were able to give me the REO listing agent. This agent had not yet listed the property on the mls or placed a sign, but the rep I spoke to was kind enough to do some legwork for me. And that’s why I say I totally disagree with you.

Option One Mortgage Corporation was recently purchased by American Home Mortgage Servicing, Inc. In the past (while still Option One) I worked with Connie White (an AM) and she provided me with information on Assets prior to being listed, however I still need to work through the eventual listing agent if I want to purchase.
