Just a curiostity, are assignment fees taxed as personal income and therefore are subject to your personal tax bracket based on your income, or are there other methods? I just was to try to do some tax planning before I close some deals.

I assume that your question is for a property flipping business that you own personally.
If this is the case, then the assignment fees are self-employment income, taxed at your ordinary income tax rate in addition to the medicare and social security taxes.
