You just need to decide what’'s important in your life…you only work 40 hours per week – there are 168 hours in a week…that leaves 128 hours. You only work 24% of a week…

You just need to carve out the unproductive parts of your day and replace them with REI.

Excellent response Keith, our society has become ingrained with the idea that 40 hrs a week is all a person can do. If you want to get ahead of the 9-5 crowd, you simply have to do a little extra. For me, I found that shutting off the TV service is helping me “find the time” to accomplish most of my goals, and I work an average of 65 hours a week in my primary business.

Dig in and get it done. In the longrun it will be worth it.

Like I tell my son, the TV is NOT your friend. If you don’t watch TV, you will free up about 2 hours per night which is plenty of time to do this stuff. You still get to watch TV for 2 hours.

I work 40 hrs at my full time job, 25 hrs at my part time job and spend about 15 hrs a week commuting.

Bummer, Rich…my commute is 1.2 miles – about 4 minutes each way - total weekly commute = 40 minutes. In Virginia, I walked about 400 yards to work…about 2 or 3 minutes on foot each way. That was as close as I could get

Keith

In my previous employment, occasionally I had to travel thousands of miles to go to work. Often times over 100 miles on foot over the course of a week. I’d still rather do that than sit in traffic for 15 hours a week. Sucks for you Rich.

No traffic, just far. Fulltime job is 45 miles from home, a tad over an hour each way. Part time job is 10 mins each way, about 5-6 miles.

Hey guys, I get to live on a yard where I work. Go out the door and I’m at work! ;D.

Of course the nearest gas station, convenience store, grocery store, etc. is 26 miles away on country roads, but hey, you can’t have it all.

I own a direct sales business and invest full time.

I guess my concern comes from the fact that I work second shift at night. So, in my head im like, WHEN am I going to be able to meet with sellers if they work a 9 to 5? I guess if they are really motivated they will meet with me anyhow, lol

Most real estate is not ‘worked’ M-F 9-5, it’s worked nights and weekends…

US Navy E-6, for another five years anyway, then hopefully, full time REI, I to admitt its difficult to shuffle time, wife - 2 kids - navy - softball - dance - and everything else, but your right, do it-make it happen its worth it!

Thanx for your service to this country, deal maker.

It’s hard in the military but it can be done…I did it, too. You forgot to add the part about the military’s education expectations – I was taking two college classes each term, too!

Likewise, What’s your rate PO1. My brother just switched from a corpsman to EOD.

For 2005 and up until Feb of '06 I worked in the engine department on one of these boats:

It was a good stepping stone for me. Gave me large blocks of time to read up on REI.

I,m a PR, on shore duty so that helps time wise. Not sure how I’m going to manage on sea duty, but I’ll find a way.

Proud to serve, and thanks!
