Nouveau Riche

There are a few more post on Nouveau Riche from actual students at http://millionairerealestategroup.com/viewtopic.php?t=671

I read those posts and what struck me is that not one of them talked about any deals they have done. One talked about spiritual growth! Is that what the NR students are paying $16K for - spritual growth???

Mike

LOL if that’s what they are paying for I can save them $16,000 GO TO CHURCH it’s free :biggrin

Here’s something interesting: There are several NR people in the REI association that I’m in. Some have tried to hit me up to join NR. But when it comes to the deal making session, or deal testimonials, I’m the one up there pitching deals. Not the ones trying to hit me up.

Go figure.

A couple of days ago, I just downloaded a complete real estate investing course, with videos and accompanying manual for $1! I guess that means saved $15,999.00 compared to NR.

Another thing I noticed is just like on this site, the people that say they are in NR have only 1 or 2 posts. They don’t seem to have a long history of real estate experience.

You know, I’ve been looking into getting in REI for quite awhile now, read ton’s of books. But something was always missing. So I hit Craigslist looking for another job two months ago, and came across an ‘investor’ who wanted to add to his team, and was willing to train. Here I thought was a great opportunity, so I spent a lot of time on my reply thinking it was going to get me somewhere.

Well, long story short: It was an NR ISA (independent student advisor [ Read: I’ve signed 5 people up already!]). I went to the first sales seminar, and was intrigued, until I sat down with the guy and he told me about the MLM. Even with all that, I still couldn’t shake my interest, then I came upon REIclub.com and this thread. The forum was enough to break my interest in NR, and this thread in particular really opened my eyes up to NR.

Now I bought Barry Grimes RE-Jobbing book, and have a business plan, year long goals, milestones and so forth. I’m glad I did some Due Diligence and found such an incredible resource.

Good for you hope you succeed in REI :cool

Where did you find them for $1?

This could probably be the biggest killer of Nouveau Riche. To actually get everything Nouveau Riche offers, you have to pay the $16,000 (not to mention all the side costs for travel, meetings, conventions, yearly membership renewal, etc.). However, everything that you do get with that initial $16,000, it all expires after 1 year. Granted, you can repeat any classes taken within that first year, but you only have 1 more year to repeat attend. At the end of those 2 years, you get nothing. To get anything else from Nouveau Riche, you have to buy another “tuition” package. How fun!
So, if someone does decide to buy the $16,000 training, be sure to hang onto everything you get with it, and make backup copies, because it will cost $16,000 to replace.

They made a new announcement this week. Members used to have Advisor in their titles (ISA - Independent Student Advisor). They’ve now dropped the “Student” and “Advisor” portions and changed them to:

As announced at the December ’08 College General Session, Nouveau Riche ITAs/ISAs will soon have the ability to generate leads for third party education programs… and earn income on qualified leads!

To satisfy recruiting guidelines, modifications to the “ISA,” “IRA,” and “INSA” titles have been made, effective with the 2009 ISA Renewal Agreements.

NEW TITLES EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

“ISA” = “Independent Sales Associate”

“IRA” = “Independent Regional Associate”

”INA” (formerly “INSA”) = “Independent National Associate”

At least they’re finally calling a spade a spade.

LOL they need to change all of them to “We Want To Scam You Out Of Your Money Associate” :biggrin

I don’t know about you but I would like to hear some actual Nouveau Riche
student reviews
rather than from people who have never taken a class with
Nouveau Riche and then never did anything with the education they were taught!

I had a guy with a Masters degree in Education form Temple yesterday
tell me my movie had to be back by Wed at noon or I would get a late
fee. Guess he did not use his degree if he works full time at Block Buster?

I have heard some great success stories from people who use the education
to do deals, and poor ones who went to the classes and then did nothing lot a
lot of people do. TGo Figure? They keep getting Ready to Get Ready to do their
first deal.

I would suggest - don’t get “wrapped around the Axle” on a couple of poor
marketers in NRU who think its a MLM or any Negative post from folks who
just was approached to buy the products… I mean somebody has to sell them
right? The company I heard had 2300 or so students at the last class session,
and some bloke e-mailed me and said the “Chris Record” guy mentioned made
$700,000 in 2008 on marketing NRU. WHAT?

Take a look at the links at the bottom of most all these post (no matter who it is) and you
well see stuff like Real Estate Education programs for only $698.00 etc.

The truth is they may be solid programs or trash BUT if you dont APPLY the knowledge
and take Action then you just scammed yourself and thats the truth.

Use your own mind , learn all you can and take Massive Action, since NOW is the Very
best time to buy Real Estate, IMHO.

I have only had experience with one of the NR students but that was ENOUGH. I had posted an add on Craigslist looking for investors to add to my wholesale buyers list. When I called him it turned out he wasn’t at all interested in buying a property for way below market value, but he was bent on selling me on NR. He used a piece of info I told him to try to leverage my emotions in his favor. My daughter was born with on of the most serious heart defects that a baby can have, hypoplastic left hear syndrome. Without surgery, it is 100 % fatal. She had her 1st surgery at 4 days old, was in the hospital for 2 months and then had a second surgery at 5 months old. She will have another surgery when she is 2 years old. She is doing fantastic but she receives therapy 2x a week and will never go more than 3 months without seeing her cardiologist.

I shared this info with him (I don’t know why…) but check out the email I received for him when I didn’t agree to sign up for this NR stuff.

"Stacie, I hope it hasn’t been something I’ve caused to turn your interest in our R.E.Investors group. If what you previously told me is true, you owe it to yourself and your family to make an effort to see if this is what you want to change your future as it is for so many others. Some web sites you really should check: DELETED and watch the ‘Wake Up America’ video, then check out facebook site DELETED for many of the group members and you’ll want to see my page (******) and the leader Chris Record and fiancee Vanessa Torchio and read their pages and follow the links. After checking those things out, DELETED has an overview on the opening page you can see, about an hour long. Finally, DELETED will have a lot of links to show you all about the company itself.

I sincerely hope you’ll make an effort to check it out because their is a lot of money being offered for those who want to help us, and those that have an interest in Real Estate we are definitely interested in working with. Again, if I’ve frightened you away, I deeply apologize, I just believe that strongly that Nouveau Riche is the way that can truly change lives and you’ve already mentioned a child with health issues and a job. Imagine needing no j.o.b. and be able to do what you want, when you want, NR can do that for you.

I’ve said enough, I’ll send you this weeks RSVP to the briefing and look for you there. If I don’t see you then in the future, you’ll have to contact me to let me know you’re really interested. We are in need of people to lead and help us build and be paid very well for it and can’t waste time on those who aren’t willing to change their current situation. This company is creating a wave, will you see if you’re ready to ride along, or be washed over and left behind?

May God see fit to bless you and your family"

I left out his name in because I have to believe that he really believes in this stuff and isn’t just trying to play on my emotions. I especially hope so since he used God in his salutation. God has blessed my family in incredible ways, some financial, but the greatest of these blessing were not.

-Stacie

Don’t believe anything those scam artists say. They’ll say anything to get you to sign up even pray on your emotions. And I don’t by that they are God fearing Christians a lot of them use that as a ploy which is a shame since God does not want you to use his name to lie and cheat.

“Amen”

It certainly is a touching story, however for a first time poster with 4 links to NR’s program went a little over the top end in my opinion, so I deleted the links.

What NR knows is they get plenty of action when someone posts about them, so they must be of the opinion that they are getting the word out, albeit mostly negative.

However, there are those they will be curious and click on the links. So they take this into consideration in their postings knowing they will convert some to their program.

John $Cash$ Locke

Interesting choice of words…“convert” - like it’s a religion to them.
MLM pitches are all the same. “If you can just get 20 of your family and friends to do this, and then each of them get 20…”
They also know they’ll only get about a 1-2% response rate so they have to pitch their grand programs to the masses to meet their goals.

I went to the college tour and the briefing session. I found many dishonest or misleading info. First the tour guide said during the tour he would randomly stop participants and we could hear from them directly what they thought. But all 4 people we heard from are also selling agents. As usual the selling agents only says positive and some were pretty lame !!!

Then they compare the credit hour cost with AZ stat Univerty credit cost. But I challeged their claim pointing out that one credit hour at ASU means 13 weeks of 1 hour lecture. However the NR 1 credit hour is 1 credit hour. So, they should not compare the hourly cost. I found that to be dishonest and they said well, you get more out of this one hour than from ASU. I realized the NR is a scam. Just go to a local library and check out books on Real Esate investing. You won’t be ripped off.

Great leg work!! Unfortunately, many would be investors hang on every word and think that they have found the greatest thing since sliced bread. ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS do your research before investing money or purchasing a high ticket item. Make sure that you ask the hard questions and demand a response. If they can’t be answered to your expectations…walk away.

Have you studied any other materials?

I want to buy two Nouveau Riche programs…one for me and one for my cat! Please tell me where to put my banking information. I cant buy houses due to my no-cash situation, so I need a get rich quick scheme fast, (so does my cat)!

In early 2007, I called one of those “Real Estate Investor Seeks Apprentice” signs. With the “help” of my upline, I got a loan for $20,000, spent $16,000 of it on NRU, and here’s what happened:

Like all other Network Marketing programs, I attended the meetings, complete with fake enthusiasm, and a cult-like crowd of attendees. I was sold on NRU with the promise that, because of the NRU community, I would have access to hundreds of “partners” who were swimming in cash, so that I could do deals with no money and bad credit, by simply partnerng with them. I attended the “college” in Phoenix, and the classes were mediocre, leaving out a lot of pertinent details (for example, in the Wholesaling class the instructor never even touches on the subject of HOW to build a Buyers list. He just says that if a deal is good, the buyers will come…)

After a couple months into NRU, I realized that hardly anyone, including my upline, were actually doing deals. The people who were doing deals were, more likely than not, already RE investors before NRU. There were hardly any people who were swimming in cash and willing to partner with you, because 95% of NRU is attempting to Wholesale (NRU markets to broke people and encourages them to get a loan in order to attend). Talking to the students of NRU, you’d quickly discover that hardly anyone is making any money, yet everyone is full of enthusiasm because they’re being pumped up at the meetings.

As for the NRU marketing program, the company claims that if you bring people to the “Intensives”, that they close 87% of attendees. I personally brought a couple dozen people to the Intensives… one person actually bought, and that was a good friend of mine who is already sold on the Network Marketing concept. So, why weren’t 87% of MY people closed?

The other problem with this company is the way that you’re given your education. You can attend the school 4 times a year. All of your “credit” hours must be used in the first year. If you don’t get all the classes in that you want to take in that first year, you’re screwed out of any further access to education, including online education.

In all, I met one lady in NRU who was on top of things. She did the kind of deals that take 2 years, but that pay millions in the end. She took me under her wing for a while, but she eventually left NRU because she was emphasizing doing deals over marketing NRU and the NRU “leadership” didn’t like that…

I have done a half dozen deals, using no money of my own. I will say that losing $16,000 to NRU is what motivated me to find out how to REALLY invest in Real Estate - education that usually comes free from sites like REI Club.

All in all, the founders of NRU are like all other founders of Network Marketing companies. They know that they can sell dreams using the success stories of the 5% who succeed with them, while they RAKE in the cash from the herd…
