My Question is: ??? Once I have located a foreclosure how do I locate the owner? I am having a hard time finding phone #'s and the competition is stiff in this area so I do not really want to send a post card like the rest of the competition does. Any Suggestions? :-\
Knocking on doors is the best way. Talk to neighbors and find out where the folks have gone or where some kin folks may live. The tax office is usually not much help but you may check there too. There are several on line skip search companies but I have never tried any of them. If the names are not too common you may try to call others with the same last name. Most will think you are a bill collector or a vulture and either way may not want to talk to you.
Find the older loan dates. They will have more equity. No since buying a new house for cash using a hard money lender where the loan is more than the value. Search for loan balance compared to tax value and go for the ones with the equity,
