Hey there! My name is Jonathan and I live just SE of San Antonio, TX. I am 30 years old currently a home health physical therapist (close as I can get to my own boss right now LOL). I am married and we now have an 8 week old lil guy we brought into the world! My wife works in corporate america, climbing the ranks at a huge bank really fast and also has an up and coming photography biz. Her motivation and drive to be her own boss someday really sparks my long term passion to get into real estate… I have some experience, kinda…
I grew up in San Antonio, lived in the same house from birth to 27 years old… My parents are both gone, I inherited this 4/2 with converted garage into game room plus 1/1 apartment/pool house all on a huge corner lot… Well 3200 total sq ft was way too much for the Mrs. and me. Plus the house was older and we wanted ‘our own’ house! 
So we did a complete rehab… Wood floors, tile kitchen, turned the 4/2 into a 3/2 with a HUGE master suite (our realtor told us we were insane for this) and really made a 1960s home look brand new…
We did most the work ourselves but did get some help towards the end especially with the master suite… We listed our home in June 2008 or so and had it sold in 3 weeks for 5K under asking!! Huge profit (helps when you inherit i suppose!)
Well since then I have considered REI but would quickly get discouraged with all the bad news in real estate… But I have really started doing more research and would like to buy fix and flip 100K arv homes in decent areas of SA… I am going to establish a team consisting of a contractor, hard money lender or Private investor, wholesaler, RE agent, etc and take all the classes I can and learn anything I and shoot to buy around Oct 2011…
