Newbie: 2 family home, live in one, rent out other....

Is it a good investment to buy a 2 family home, rent one unit and live in the other. I’m just trying to get my foot in the door. :help

Just starting out that’s not a bad idea. As soon as you are financially able, I would begin looking for a tenant for your unit, and then move out and keep the process going.
