ok …after 37 years in automoyive restoration,I am interested in getting started in realestate …I don’t have funding but I understand there are ways to acquire it? My real Question is what is the easiest,fastest and most practical way to start?..Is it short sales, preforclosures,reo’s,flips???And lastbut not least…which one will turn the fastest profit?..ron

I agree, learn what to do first. Read the forums here. But the bottom line is - do it. Don’t spend too much time reading 
I think the market window for short sales is probably the next few years and then it will become a mroe specialized line of investment again as house prices slowly creep up and homes come out from underwater, but I think there will be a good 3-4 more years.
