I live in S. Florida and want to start wholesaling immediately. I need to know where to start and if you have a step by step process. Part of the reason I need to do this is that my brother has cancer and needs surgery and I want to be able to assist financially. I appreciate any and all help.
Regards,
Laurie A. Johnson
The step by step process is long and intricate. It’s like buying a McDonald’s and asking the corporate office to give you the process when they give you the keys. Won’t work.
I know some on here will disagree with me (they already have on previous threads…), but I would start by seeking out a coach or mentor to teach you the business. If you do your research and pick a good one, he’ll cut your learning curve monumentally. To me, it’s just a wise investment. Without one, you’re in the trial-and-error game and that can be exhausting, frustrating and expensive.
A teacher puts you on the fast track.
If you choose to wing it, here are a few tips:
- Have some capital to invest in your business
- Put together a marketing plan
- Make sure your purchase contracts have an out-clause in them
- Know how to evaluate a deal and what to offer
- Locate cash buyers before you locate houses to flip
Good luck, Laurie Johnson. If I can help, please don’t hesitate to post questions. I’m glad to do it. BTW, I’m in Tampa and familiar with S. Florida.
Laurie,
Sorry to hear that but don’t let that get you down or stop you. Use it as motivation to start your wholesaling business NOW! Maestro has some great reviews and I’ve read his materials and learned a TON from them about how to wholesale real estate.
