New at this Board

This is my first post, and I just wanted to say Hi.
I’m just starting out as a real estate investor, and I do have a few units now, however, I don’t think I got the greatest deals, I was just to eager to get started. I eventually want to quit my 9 to 5 job and do this full time.
My question is: Do most of you prefer hiring a manager for your rentals or doing it yourself?

Work smart. You can not find deals if you are fixing toilets. On the other hand you need to eat and if you can not afford a manager you need to do it yourself.

Kind of a simple answer but I lost one fortune by doing just the opposite.
