NACA takes too long to finance!!

Hello,

Last year my wife and I applied for a NACA mortgage, (September 2012) and everything looked good. Our credit is not too bad, (It’s in the 700’s) and at the time they told us to go out and start looking for properties. We did that but they haven’t sent us a letter of approval yet but we still went out to look. We found quite a few properties but NACA still hasn’t sent me anything, we called our counselor…nothing. We called for another counselor and got it…then nothing again. We got it expedited…nothing! We have been waiting to get approved for 4 Months now.

Why do you think it takes so long? has anybody experienced this with NACA…inquiring minds want to know!

Thank You

Hi,

The Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America is supposed to be a zero down / zero closing costs program for working class people who do not have access to credit, but could afford to pay a mortgage rather than rent.

When I go to the NACA website it states “You must attend a NACA workshop before your eligable to fill out an application and pay your fee’s for a credit check, etc.” Have you attended a workshop?

There is a lot of direct access to the Nationwide level of NACA through their website. If your not getting answers at the local level try sending an email through their website to get answers and action.

This is also an “Owner Occupied” program.
