Well I got my first wholesale deal and getting ready to close. A prolem came up that I’m stressing about. I lost my drivers license!! Do I need one when I close? I’m here in Texas.

I am sure that you will need some form of identification. After all they are legal documents.
yes in texas you will need to have a drivers license,go to the nearest dps office and order a replacement…sounds funnny but even if its a piece of paper it may work,i know they won’t accept an expired drivers license

No you don’t need to be able to drive a car to buy a house.
If you have a passport that would work too.
I’m in Michigan and my title company requires a copy of a picture ID.
Then you are probably going to need to get a replacement DL. If you truly lost it you will need one anyhow.

In most places, they have you on record - including your digital picture and digital signature. It usually takes about 10 minutes after you go thru the line and get to the desk.
It’s the 21st Century in most places.

I think you mis-read my post.
I said you don’t need to be licensed to operate a motor vehicle to buy a house.
Most people use their license as their state approved ID, but they don’t need to be one in the same.
If by lost he meant misplaced then solution = get a new license.
If by lost he meant license revoked then solution = get an ID card.
