Moving to Phoenix soon, looking for a Nouveau Riche rep

Hello,
I am moving to Phoenix in January 2011. I currently live in San Diego and have been getting involved in the Nouveau Riche community out here. I attended the Wealth Summit a few months ago but did not sign up for the education package yet (I intend on doing so when I get to Phoenix). I am currently active duty but get out in December. When I move to Phoenix my only job will be REI meaning I will be working on my own all day everyday. Where should I look for someone to assist me when I get there?

I recommend you do a search on here for “Nouveau Riche” and see how well regarded they are around here. That’s a pretty lofty goal of just doing REI once you’re there. Are you retiring or just getting out? Do you have a back-up plan for normal income in case things don’t work out as you’re thinking they will?

I am pretty confident in NR and the programs they offer. I have been working with NR members in San Diego and I think they are doing good things. I do realize my goals are pretty bold and lofty but I have positioned myself well to pursue REI. I am getting out of the Navy after 5 years. My only debt is a house I bought using seller financing but is currently rented and making me about $50/month positive cashflow. I have a years worth of savings which will cover all my bills and living. I estimate I can go about 1 year without making money before I run out. My backup plan is to use my GI Bill if REI doesnt work out. Thanks for the advice.

I went to one of there meetings once, i left before i met the guy that invited me.

Where’s your wingman? There’s ALWAYS a wingmsn!

You are right. It always looks the same. A guy with one or two posts comes on and asks if anybody knows anything about NR. Then a day or two later some other guy with one or two posts comes on and says I went and it was great I made a gazillion dollars. And then you never hear from them again unless someone bites and asks them about it.

NR is fine to make money from but it is not real estate money it is multilevel marketing money.

Thats ok if you guys dont believe me but I am to getting into real estate and it seems like going to either a company or person who has done REI and has done it well to learn from them is the way to go. Are you guys saying I would be better off learning on my own or that there are better companies to learn from?

NR has a horrible reputation on here. Every time someone “asks” about NR, it’s because it’s some new representative trying to drum up traffic so they can sell their information. The gouge on here is that NR is a MLM type organization and not really about helping people invest in RE.
There are plenty of posts on here about what to do or what not to do with REI. You could find an investor in your area who has been doing this for awhile and talk to them. You could talk to some Realtors who have invested and helped other investors.
You can do NR if you want. You’re just not going to hear good things on here about them.

NR is not an REI organization - it is a multi-level marketing scheme that uses real estate as its medium. You make money by recruiting other rubes. It’s all about them selling you the ‘education’ and you trying to hook other fiish to get your investment back. Bring a fat checkbook or you’ll never learn the ‘secrets’

Save your money and find a local REI club to network. Why pay for this course when you can get it free. Keith would tell you to look on this site to start. Before you moved you should learn the Arizona market in your down time, so you are prepared when you get there. Been to Ariziona a few times and prices are low now.

Thanks for the advice. I do realize NR is always trying to sell something and recruit more people but a part of me thinks that if you can do that and learn REI on the way is it a bad thing? Ill do more research and see what I can find. Thanks

JJG,

You can do all the research you want. the fact of the matter is you are NOT buying and selling real estate. You ARE selling NR.

If you are looking for a NR rep., why post it on here. Call NR and ask them to refer one to you. They sure would be glad to do so and take all your money while they’re at it. NR courses are too expensive. Why would you pay that much money when you can take courses for free or at a much cheaper rate. Your one years worth of savings will be eaten up pretty quickly by NR. Best advice I can offer: DON’T DO IT.

If you are looking for a NR rep., why post it on here. Call NR and ask them to refer one to you.

No doubt! You paid them enough they should send a chauffeur to pick you up and take you there!
