Mortgages and DBA's (Come on experts help a newbie out)

QUESTIONS

If I have a silent partner obtaining a mortgage then I use the money to purchase a property the property would be in the partners name right?

Will I have control over the property even if it’s in the mortgage holders name? I would have to draw up some kind of contract between me and the mortgage holder right?

Is it possible for a mortgage to be in one persons name and the deed be in another persons name?

Can I obtain a mortgage under my DBA (Doing Business As) name?

you would be better off having your partner sign a warranty deed adding you to the title before closing, then filing it after cloing and recording. This way you will be added to the title without issue and your partner cannot freeze you out.
