??? My parents are considering buying a duplex in a minority neighborhood. It is currently rented on both sides. There is another building in the back that has been boarded up for the last year, condemed by the city. It has been vacant for about 10 years.
However, it is possible it can be refurbished and used as another rental. The sellers agent told me they are having a problem with mortgage companies over the vacant building.
The duplex also needs a lot of work. The houses were built in 1939.
How do I find a lender who would finance this type of project.? My folks have excellent credit.
