Hi, I’m trying to develop a relationship with good mortgage brokers in SE Michigan.
Where ‘Good’ means able and willing to do up to 80% or more LTV on the APPRAISED
value of the home.
My intention is to do Lease options.
So I need to find Mortgage brokers who are creative and able to get the deals closed.
My credit rating is excellent (above 750) so that’s not a problem.
Now then, my question is this, can anyone share with me a way to find ‘good’
Mortgage Brokers to do this?
Thanks!!
Greg
Greg,
There are several loan officers or brokers that post on this site on a regular basis. You can read through some recent postings and see if someone jumps out at you. Keep in mind that all loan officers dip from the same sources. So it may be your situation that is precluding you from qualifying for loans at higher LTV’s. A good credit score is just the beginning when it comes to acquiring rental properties. I would also point out that “good” is not the same as “willing and able”. Welcome to reiclub.com.
Greg,
I orginate in MI, but I’m not from there (and I’m marginal at best :biggrin).
You’ve made an emphasis on borrowing against appraised value, so I’m going to take stab at your approach—you like to buy property in which the purchase price is significantly lower then the appraised value and in turn, you are seeking a creative approach to either get cash back at closing and or borrow against the appraised value—am I on target?
If so, you aren’t going to find it here, there or anywhere.

Scott Miller
Greg, where are you at in SE Michigan? Just curious, I grew up in that area.
Greg,
I can give you the names and numbers of two guys that I though were great that I’ve worked with. Michigan is hard to find a good Loan officer out here.
Good luck.
RT.
Greg,
I can recomend a couple of people. At the end of the day it will come back to just one. His office is in Birminham and I have known him for about 15 years. I can give you more detail if you are still looking.
