Hi all,
I’m getting ready to ask a family friend (who happens to be a realtor) if he can help me out with access to his MLS. Now maybe I’m missing something but I’m a bit confused…is MLS one big database on one website that is navigated state by state or is there seperate websites for each state? If so, what is the website for IL? I tried googling “Illinois MLS” and got several different RE listing sites. Thanks!
Hi,
MLS is a private data base owned by the National Association of Realtors.
It is only excessable by a licensed realtor in a specific state. There are some access services now that basically access the same data.
Your realtor friend can only access the state you are in.

If you can not get access to the member site MLS you could always try Haines or Realquest. They are paid services but they work great. (If the information in your county is up to date.
