Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all the REI Club posters from whom I have learned so much this past year!
What are you all doing for the Holidays?
Here I am starting to cook the traditional Danish Christmas Eve dinner. There will be rodkaal (red cabbage), roast pork, and little potatoes cooked in burned sugar and butter. Unbelievably delicious. There will be almond rice dessert full of whipped cream. Indescribably fantastic.
There will be some Scrabble games only for us 300 points plus players. Somebody will probably drop off Christmas tamales. The fireplace will be going all day even if we have to open the doors. The birds, dogs and cats will all get extra Holiday rations, like my folks always did in the Old Country.
Well if you note the time I’m posting you can probably guess that I’m “waiting up for Santa”. I just finished up an awesome pirate board game and ate a bunch of taco salad for dinner. Tomorrow should be more of the same plus more traditional holiday food…HAMMMMMMM!
Make sure to eat extra food so we can all clog the gyms after New Year’s.
