Marketing postcards

Intersested in seeing or hearing about others marketing postcards. I use a double sided single color postcard I print myself. I have had good success with it but I would like to try designs that others have found success with.

Not promoting but I use the CD from www.LenderDesign.com . They have over 120 templates to choose from. A good investment for long-term. Check them out… they’ll even offer you 5 free samples to look at.

Hey,
I use USPS site for postcards with good success and ease of use. Not cheap -approx. $.87 each, but ease of use, the creation of ready made mailing lists, etc. is ok by me.
Peace,
Richard

I like the info you all are passing on, can you tell me how to obtain a mailing list of names that does not cost and arm and a leg?

Hey,
The USPS site allows you to import a mailing list or simply develop your own. I mail to a niche market (out of town owners - presumably landlords) that I develop by going through tax appraisals. A bit time consuming but it is targeted and pretty much accurate and the list isn’t all that large. This also allows me to see how the neighborhood is composed because I also note whether the owners are in-town non-resident (another mailing) etc. This works for me in my setting. Each has to find what works best for his situation. Just be sure the work you do actually is productive and is not work for work’s sake.
Peace,
Richard

What kind of homeowner are you looking to contact?

Good Morning and thank you for your reply. What I do is run a Mortgage Website and my job is to advertise it and get people to it. So the target area would be basic residential people nationwide because we are a nation wide lending company. Any help will greatly be appreciated.

Wow, that’s a big group. Melissadata and Dataquick have neighborhood and county data but do not cover the whole USA and would be too expensive to reach a lot of homeowners.

You might have better luck getting on television or radio shows. If your local area has a talk show or news station then you could get on there to talk about the local market or some controversial topic in the news.

You could set your sights higher and go for one of the cable news shows as an expert in your field to talk about a hot topic. I went to a learning annex class on how to get on television shows that was great. It was put on by a ex-producer of the Oprah show.

Hey thanks for all of the info however, I have no plans to cover the whole US ha-ha. I’ll just pick and choose and do what ever I can, when I can. You have been a lot of help.
