Does anyone know of a website where one can locate the market cycle of a particular area?
I can not help with this question, but I am very interested in finding out more about a market cycle site.

If you find that crystal ball, let me know where I can buy on too—I have a Magic Eight Ball, do you want me to ask it a specific question?
All kidding aside, if someone had the ability to predict the future, it would be shrinkwrapped and sold at Walmart—not giving it away for free.
If you are willing to pay for this info, there are some sources available.

EZLoanz,
Maybe I did not phrase the question correctly. What I am asking is if Myrtle Beach, SC is in a Buyers’ or Sellers’ Market, i.e. BM1, BM2, SM1 or SM2. Where it is in the cycle. Sorry for the confusion.

You don’t need a crystal ball, website or eye or newt to figure this out. Call a good local realtor and ask, 30 seconds on the phone can answer this question. If you really want to analyze it you can look at the way the average days on market is trending and see where the property values have gone lately.
Predicting the future is pretty simple…that is for the financial markets, and real estate
you need to start reading/subscribing international publications and many financial newsletters…also subscribe to the many govt newsletters etc…
it will all come together and u will get it ,
all the signs are there…you just need to do your homework…i know some of my postings seem doom and gloom but thats where we are heading now,
my 2 cents

Steelmagnolia calls a realtor in S.C. call goes like this…
Hi, I’m a investor looking for properties in Myrtle Beach could you tell if it’s a buyers market or a sellers market??
Answer: Oh it’s definitely a sellers market. I have 20 buyers like you calling a day, let me send you a list of some VERY hot properties that JUST came on the market, but act fast!!!
6 months after Steelmagnolia buys and rehabs her property…
Realtor… You did a beautiful job, you know 6 months ago I would have listed this for $$$$$$ but now??? The market has really turned, I have 20 sellers a day calling me.
DO NOT LET A REALTOR DO YOUR HOMEWORK FOR YOU!!!
REALTORS are SALES PEOPLE. Try this little test…
Go into your nearest new car dealership and ask a salesman if he thinks you need a new car? Same answer to your S.C. market question.
