I’ve debated writing this post for a while, and finally I decided to share my thoughts. Many people here have made similar posts about some insite on Mark, so I’ll chime in here. I will first state that I have purchased Mark’s book “The Insider’s Secrets of The World’s Most Successful Real Estate Investors”. I have listened to (and may listen to more in the future) some of his teleseminars. I have not purchased any of this courses.
My opinion so far…
The Good:
-His system seems to be working for him pretty well. As to “exactly” what his system is in detail, I’m still not sure, however it seems pretty automated where he can wholesale deals all over the US w/out requiring Mark to do any work.
-He has done a great job marketing and starting to get himself known in the REI industry.
-He is multi-faceted in which he seems to be doing quite well in the information & book selling business as well.
The Bad:
-I feel the book I purchased was not as great as some on here claim. Paul Straus’ chapter was the most informative IMHO. If I want to read the success stories of each of these people, I can find many articles online. I was looking for more “meat” of how these professionals did what they did, not just statements like “You have to take action”.
-Another poster on here suggested that he requested his money back from some products he purchased. According to that poster, Mark said he was banned from ever buying anything again from him. To me this is just unprofessional no matter what way you look at it.
-I do receive emails (almost daily) from Mark. These contain many typos. Once again, this doesn’t make a good impression of being professional.
-Mark sells his “foreword” of a book which is available online for FREE. this one bothers me most. He’s making money off of a product he claims is out of print. While it may be out of print, you can find this on google for free with a simple search. Why purchase his “foreword” for $67 when you can get the original for no cost at all?
-Mark’s websites contain false statements such as “only 150 17 left” (the 150 is crossed out). These quantities I find to be misleading and have been the same values for months. I understand this is a marketing technique, but this comes across as decietful.
-Mark claims to be a #1 best seller on Amazon even beating “Trump” according to his web site. While this may be true, it is highly misleading. The screenshot he has is from Amazon’s hourly list. So for a short duration, he was able to obtain a high quantity of sales which would allow it to be #1 for a short period of time.
These are just my opionions. As I stated above, I have not purchased any of his courses, but this is my overall impression thus far.
Take care,
Ryan
