making an offer on a propety when the owner has hired an agent.

Would it be legal for me to negotiate directly with the buyer and get the home under contract, as long as the seller discloses all information to the realtor?

I highly recommend this book for negotiating and making offers. It has specifics about dealing with both agents and private sellers.

Im planning on negotiating this afternoon or tomorrow morning. =0

Also the reason for this is transfer taxes in PA are high and I want to avoid a double closing by assigning the contract. I cant do that through a realtor.

ANy ideas guys? Would it be alright not only legally but good business as long as I made sure the owner took the contract to their agent?

I’m pretty sure that it’s fine to negotiate directly with the owner of a listed property. Just make sure the agent knows about it. They’ll get their commission either way.

alright, thanks. I went to negotiate a deal today and the realtor lived next door LOL however things went very well.
